When we want to schedule an appointment or meeting with someone, we make sure that it will be the best possible time for both parties. Considering the workload of each individual, both will come to an agreement which will be the best place and time.
As I am working for a multinational company, it can’t be helped that we have peers and clients alike situated on the far ends of the world. This fact alone triggers some hassle and stress when it comes to scheduling for a meeting which we later will find out that will not take more than 20 minutes. More often than not, it is us that do the adjustments when it comes to the time and availability thus rendering a couple of overtime hours. Being in a multinational company, you’d thought that we have the cutting edge technology eh!? Well, you are wrong. When we schedule a meeting on our overseas counterparts, we do this via con-call (conference call). Now this isn’t that bad but we could at least utilize some video meeting so we can see who we are talking to. And it would seem that my prayers were answered when the company introduced video meeting or online conferencing late last year. The sad part is that I am no longer in a project thus I cannot use this feature that the company provides… *sigh*
